I could hear the lonely blue bird at night singing notes that were drowned out by the sound of the waves inside, the sounds in my worried mind. I’ve been howling at the moon every night since the day you left me behind. I’ve been crying out tears that made me blind. I can’t feel my heart beating tonight, I’m learning how to deal with my pride, I’m counting up my money for the ride and I’ll be gone with the sunrise. I remember I believed in yesterday when my trouble seemed so far away. Now I don't have much to say and I cannot help but run away. Now the whole world is running after time and I only feel like slowing down, with birds, trees and fields around, and hope in my rested mind. And I won't forget the choices I made. No, I won’t forget.

I found an old photo under my bed, from 1996, back then. I laid my head then I realized I’ve been loving you all this time. And I’m alright though I don't know what I do. Yeah, I’m alright I assume. I read the book that says I would find my truth, but I don't know if I’m willing to. Some say I must listen to my heart, some don't even care about. And I’m alright though I don't know what I do. Yeah, I’m alright I assume. Oh I’m alright. I don't know where I’m heading to. I follow the peacock blue. With the setting sun on the stunning land, the peacock stands and spreads its tail. I got the feeling I'm in the right place and God, there's nothing I would change.

I’ll be back in my hometown for the summer to get rid of the toys and the dust from the attic. Let the smells and the sounds and the colors I’d grown up with help me find another place to call my home. I’ll call my old mate to see if he still lives around, between the wheat fields and the forest up the hill. Perhaps we'll take the old car and drive to the sea, ending up facing the sun as we used to be. And I will be waiting for summer to come then I will be waiting for summer to end. I'll spend the whole summer sunbathing in the hammock with the birds singing the melody of my youth. I’ll stop by my sister to see the kids that have grown before they're out of school, driving and then gone. I'll take the bus that's leading to the city, get off at the shop and buy some new strings. I'll drive around the country and write new things that maybe later on will turn into a song. There's a young man who's lying on his back along the edge of the pool with one leg in the water, he’s wearing his headphones and his straw hat on his face. Oliver is not my friend and will never be. Now the setting sun is burning the horizon on the sand and the streets of the places I have been. I've been living in a movie since the day that I found that life was much easier this way.
